This is a scheduled tour of the Mathematical Biosciences Institute (MBI) with introduction given by Tony Nance, MBI Deputy Director, and presentation given by Punit Gandhi, MBI postdoc. It will include a tour of the facilities, as well as discussions about how the Institute fosters innovation in the application of mathematical, statistical, computational methods in the resolution of significant problems in the biosciences, and also in the development of new areas in the Mathematics motivated by important questions in the biosciences.
Please meet Jim Talamo outside your classroom (JR 0353) at about 3:50 PM, to walk together to the MBI at Jennings Hall 3rd Floor, 1735 Neil Ave. This will be in place of the recitation that day. After the tour, you are on your own for your evening activities.
